  1. An interesting fact about doves; The cooooOOOOO-woo-woo-woo call is almost always uttered by the male bird, not the female, and is—wait for it—a wooing call, an enticement to a mate or potential mate. I guess she heard it. Beautiful pic

    • Thank you, Randell. The interaction between them was really touching. Funny story… I recently heard a dove coo, but I couldn’t see it. I tried mimicking it, and not only did one dove fly in and perch on a wire above me, but another came in and perched on another wire above and to my left. I cooed a few more times as they seemed to gaze with curiosity, and then the one above me chased the other one off and flew back. It eventually flew away after hearing a dove in the distance. True story. LOL

  2. Being a wildlife photographer, You are a true inspiration for me. By looking at the photos taken by you, I learned about some effective photography techniques that should be used for capturing great images.
