Eight Eyes and Eight Legs

I was able to get a few shots of a spider a few days ago and try out my extension tubes again to get a better comparison with and without them.  This first shot was taken with my Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM Lens without extension tubes, getting as close as I could, although I later remembered I probably could have gotten a little closer using manual focus instead of auto focus.

I got a shot of its abdomen to aid in identification, but an image search yielded no matches.  Anyone know what kind of spider this is?

Here is a shot of the spider using the Fotodiox Canon EOS Macro Extension Tube Set. I think I might have been able to get even closer, but this was as close as I was going to get to an unknown spider, especially since I wasn’t using a tripod and was looking through the camera’s eyepiece.
