Weekly Photo Challenge: Letters – Part 2

My daughter reminded me of the metal alphabet stamps we have, and since I love macro photography, I decided to go ahead and do another shot for this week’s theme of “Letters”. I used my son’s Canon EF-S 60mm f/2.8 Macro USM lens.

  1. well I am glad you did a part 2 – because I actually used similar metal type sets in middle school – when we made our own business cards. I also like your photo of them – how the letters are not all lined up – but some turned, etc. – nice.

  2. This is a great close-up shot. The letters definitely stand out. I’ve never seen long alphabet stamps like that before. I suppose it’s what kids use to play with in class. Must be a lot of fun πŸ™‚

    • Thank you, Mabel! They are used to emboss metal or soft plastic. For example, I have seen them on Pinterest used on flattened metal spoons repurposed into garden markers. πŸ™‚
